I'm sure you must've seen posts/stories about the couple climbing the Empire State Building last night....
Apparently love now comes with trespassing charges.
I have a tiny confession…
I don't think I'd climb a skyscraper.
Mainly because…
I'm scared of heights.
I look terrible in prison uniforms.
Our parents would absolutely kill me after bail.
But here's what I would do.
I'd choose you.
Again.
Tomorrow.
On boring Mondays.
On chaotic Fridays.
When we're laughing.
When we're annoyed at each other.
When life is wonderfully ordinary.
I may never make headlines.
But I promise I'll make coffee when you're tired.
Drive when you don't feel like it.
Carry the heavy bags.
Pretend I don't want dessert…
…and then steal yours anyway.
I promise to remember the tiny things.
Your coffee order.
The stories you've already told me.
The songs that remind me of you.
The random reels you'll inevitably send me at 2 AM.
I promise to be your safe place.
The person who celebrates your wins louder than anyone.
The person who sits beside you during the hard days.
The person who never lets you doubt how loved you are.
Because…
You're my favourite notification.
My favourite person to call.
My favourite travel partner.
My favourite teammate.
And somehow…
My favourite home.
So no…
I won't climb the Empire State Building.
I won't get arrested for a proposal.
But I will spend a lifetime trying to make you smile.
I think that's a much better adventure.
